PMR Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev is on a working visit to Moscow. As part of the visit, the Foreign Minister attended a round table on Russia’s Participation in the Peacekeeping Operation in Pridnestrovie: 30 Years of Peace and Stability in the Region, organized on the platform of the Federation Council. Representatives of the Federation Council Committees on Foreign Affairs, Defense and Security, the State Duma, the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, the Russian Defense and Foreign Affairs Ministries, and the expert community were among those invited.
The Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting of Deputy Foreign Minister Alexandr Stetsiuk with representatives of the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) Catrin Gosby, Marianna Pateraki and Tania Marcello.
The DRC delegation came to Pridnestrovie on an informational visit to identify the humanitarian needs of the Ukrainian refugees, as well as to determine the support that the organization can provide.
A delegation of the Russian MFA, headed by Ambassador-at-Large Vitaly Tryapitsyn, arrived in Pridnestrovie. The Russian diplomats visited the Consular Field Service of the Russian Embassy in Tiraspol. Then the delegation went to a meeting with Pridnestrovian President Vadim Krasnoselsky.
The Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting between Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and Thomas Mayr-Harting, Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office. The meeting was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to Moldova Tomasz Kobzdej, Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Claus Neukirch and OSCE CiO Coordinator for the Pridnestrovian Settlement Marek Calka.
The Foreign Ministry held a working meeting with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), headed by delegate Maria Arranz Arranz. From the Pridnestrovian side, the meeting was attended by experts from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Social Protection and Labor Alexander Khonitsky, Angela Diachenko and Natalia Ovcharenko.
The interlocutors continued the discussion of the multifaceted assistance provided to people with disabilities in Pridnestrovie.
The Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting between Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Her Majesty the Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Moldova Steven Fisher.
The discussion was focused on the issues related to the current situation in the field of regional security. In this context, Vitaly Ignatiev expressed particular concern about the strengthened militarization processes in Moldova, including the possible supply of lethal weapons to the neighboring state.
The Foreign Ministry hosted the meeting between PMR Deputy Foreign Minister Alexandr Stetsiuk and Head of the Embassy Office of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Republic of Moldova Floris van Eijk. Researchers from the Clingedael Institute, Bob Deen and Wouter Zweers, also participated in the dialogue.
The communication focused on a wide range of issues related to the negotiation process and the prospects for settling relations between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova.
The Foreign Ministry held a working meeting with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) delegation represented by Samuel Marc Fensterheim and Maria Arranz Arranz. From the Pridnestrovian side the meeting was attended by heads of relevant departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry Ministry of Social Protection and Labor and the Ministry of Health Alexander Khonitsky, Natalia Ovcharenko and Angela Diachenko.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev received members of the International Committee of the Red Cross. During the dialogue, Head of the ICRC Delegation Roman Machover informed that he was completing his mission and introduced Doris El Doueihi as his successor.
The meeting was held as part of the ICRC Delegation’s working visit the purpose of which was to proceed with elaborating certain aspects of assistance to Ukrainian refugees and their host families in Pridnestrovie.
Today, a meeting of Pridnestrovian and Moldovan experts took place via videoconference to address pressing problematic issues that arise during the import of medicines. Representatives of mediators and observers in the negotiation process, as well as a delegation of the World Health Organization attended the discussion.
The Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting between Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Moldova Kęstutis Kudzmanas. Emilija Punjute-Galoa, researcher at Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas, Lithuania, also joined the discussion.
The dialogue focused on a wide range of issues related to the history and current state of relations between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova.
The Foreign Ministry hosted the meeting between Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Slovakia to Moldova Pavol Ivan. This is the diplomat’s first visit to Pridnestrovie in his capacity as Ambassador.
Оn June 1, PMR Deputy Foreign Minister Alexandr Stetsiuk held a discussion with Artyom Malgin, Pro-Rector of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the Russian Foreign Ministry. Director of MGIMO School of Business and International Proficiency Angelika Mirzoeva also attended the meeting.
A meeting between Deputy Foreign Minister Alexandr Stetsiuk and the delegation of the United Nations agencies led by Kristin Jenssen, Peace and Development Adviser, took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Among the agencies represented were the UN Development Programme, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and UN Women.
On May 6, Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev received the International Committee of the Red Cross delegation led by Roman Machover. First Deputy Chairman of the Pridnestrovian Republican Bank Alexei Melnik also took part in the meeting.
The meeting was held as part of a working visit by an ICRC mission aimed at addressing the technical aspects of aid to Ukrainian refugees and residents of Pridnestrovie.
A videoconference meeting between the Pridnestrovian and Moldovan experts on the import of medicines took place today, involving representatives of pharmaceutical companies from Pridnestrovie. The session was also attended by representatives of the mediators in the negotiation process and the WHO delegation in Moldova.
The meeting was initiated amid the continuing administrative barriers and constraints in the delivery through the territory of Moldova of vital and socially important medication intended for the population and health facilities of Pridnestrovie.

The interlocutors focused on Moldova’s blocking of deliveries of vital goods to Pridnestrovie. First of all, medical products, fertilizers and foodstuffs were referred to. Vitaly Ignatiev negatively assessed today’s statement by the Moldovan government as a self-exposure of the use of the blockade tools for the purpose of political pressure on Pridnestrovie.
On April 20, an online discussion of expert (working) groups on transport and road infrastructure development was held. Proposals to convene this meeting were repeatedly voiced by the Pridnestrovian side since last December (the previous one took place on September 24, 2021), but were consistently ignored by the Moldovan side.
On April 7, a meeting of expert (working) groups of Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova on customs cooperation was held upon the initiative of the Pridnestrovian side.
