Today, the Foreign Ministry hosted the meeting between Deputy Foreign Minister Alexandr Stetsiuk and the IOM delegation headed by Programme Coordinator Margherita Vismara.
The interlocutors discussed key aspects of bilateral cooperation within the IOM’s current activities in Pridnestrovie, as well as the organization’s medium-term plans. In particular, IOM representatives provided information on the implementation of social and humanitarian projects, including support for refugees from Ukraine, combating human trafficking and domestic violence, and assistance to socially vulnerable populations.
The Pridnestrovian side separately touched upon the deportation of the PMR nationals by the Moldova’s law enforcement agencies and the need to jointly work out possible mechanisms for the return of Pridnestrovians to their permanent place of residence.
Summing up the meeting, the parties agreed to continue working contacts over all topical cooperation areas.
