The Foreign Ministry hosted the meeting between Deputy Foreign Minister Alexandr Stetsiuk and the delegation of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
The interlocutors discussed current and planned UNDP activities in Pridnestrovie. In particular, the representatives of the organization informed about the implementation of projects in the field of preservation of the cultural heritage in the Pridnestrovian region, improvement of infrastructure, support of vulnerable groups of population with a focus on personal assistance and accessibility of social services. In addition, the plans to continue the implementation of project initiatives related to the development of business and small enterprises in the republic were announced.
The parties also touched upon some parameters of bilateral cooperation during the meeting. In this context, the UNDP members noted the improvement of interaction with the Pridnestrovian authorities in recent years, which positively influences the efficiency of the organization’s project activities in the PMR.
At the end of the meeting, the sides agreed to build up working contacts in spheres of mutual interest.
