Pridnestrovian Foreign Ministry hosted the meeting of Minister Vitaly Ignatiev with the Head of the Official Representative Office of the Republic of South Ossetia in Pridnestrovie, Vitaly Yankovsky.
Welcoming the guest, Vitaly Ignatiev stressed that the Pridnestrovian-Ossetian cooperation, including through the Foreign Ministry and the Official Representative Office, continues in a dynamic and constructive manner.
The interlocutors discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation and summarized its preliminary results this year. In this context, the PMR Foreign Minister highlighted the visit of the Pridnestrovian delegation to South Ossetia to participate in the commemoration of the 15th anniversary of the republic’s independence recognition by the Russian Federation, as well as the meetings of Pridnestrovian diplomats with the country’s leadership.
The discussion was followed by an exchange of views on the plans for joint activity in the next period, including the implementation of cultural and humanitarian projects. The diplomats paid special attention to the international situation around Pridnestrovie. In addition, they touched upon some arrangements related to the operation of the Official Representative Office.
In conclusion, the sides agreed to continue regular routine contacts on the whole range of issues of mutual interest.
