The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Abkhazia, the Ministry of Social Security and Demographic Policy of the Republic of Abkhazia, the Ministry of Health of the PMR and the Ministry of Social Protection and Labor of the PMR held the signing ceremony of the Memorandum on Cooperation in Healthcare, Social Development and Social Protection was held in the online format. The event was attended by relevant ministers Kristina Albul, Elena Kulichenko, and Alexander Vataman, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in the PMR.

The Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting of Deputy Foreign Minister Alexandr Stetsiuk with a delegation of the United Nations, headed by Peace and Development Adviser Kristin Jenssen.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the current situation in the energy sector, as well as possible development scenarios and prevention of humanitarian crises in Pridnestrovie. At the same time, Alexandr Stetsiuk spoke in detail about the current state of affairs in the negotiation process and the difficulties that the republic has encountered this year, especially in the sector of imports.

With regard to the speculative claims by the office of the political representative of the Republic of Moldova, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs points out the following.

Chisinau’s reaction is a futile attempt to justify its own clearly inadequate and extremely dangerous activities that threaten to turn into a deep crisis on a broad regional scale. However, the Pridnestrovian side is used to basing itself on truth and facts, against which the Moldovan version of events seems to be a trivial attempt to put the blame on others.

On November 15, 2022, a meeting of expert (working) groups on humanitarian aid from Pridnestrovie and Moldova took place. At the initiative of the Pridnestrovian side, the meeting was held in person at the OSCE Mission office in Tiraspol for the first time after a long pause.

On November 14, by mutual agreement of the parties, a telephone conversation was held between Vitaly Ignatiev, PMR Foreign Minister, and David Babayan, Foreign Minister of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.

During the conversation, the sides assessed the developments taking place around Pridnestrovie and Artsakh. In addition, they discussed a wide range of topical issues in the context of bilateral cooperation. The diplomats set priorities and areas for further joint cooperation, including through the Foreign Ministries.

Today, a regular meeting of expert (working) groups from Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova on regulatory and document support of citizens took place via videoconference.

During the meeting, the experts addressed issues related to the resumption of interaction between the civil registry authorities and archival services with a view to resolving the numerous problems the citizens face in the processing of documents.

Today, the Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting between the PMR Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vitaly Ignatiev, and the delegation of the European Union, headed by the representative within the 5+2 negotiation process, Dorota Dlouchy-Suliga. Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs Alexander Stetsiuk and Ruslan Slobodenyuk, as well as the Head of the EU Delegation to the Republic of Moldova, Janis Mazeiks, also attended the meeting.

A European delegation headed by the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Thomas Mayr-Harting, visited Pridnestrovie. The diplomats were received by Vadim Krasnoselsky at the Office of the PMR President. Welcoming the guests, the Pridnestrovian Head of State noted that almost five months had passed since the previous conversation. The events of this period encourage no optimism.

Today, the Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting between the PMR Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vitaly Ignatiev, and the new Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova, Ambassador Kelly Keiderling. The diplomat paid a study visit to Tiraspol leading up to the meeting of the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky with the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Thomas Mayr-Harting, scheduled for upcoming Monday.

A videoconference of Expert (Working) Groups on Education Issues from Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova took place on October 18.

The communication between the parties was mainly related to exchanging views on some aspects of functioning protocol resolutions on education signed in November 2017. The discussion focused, in particular, on outstanding difficulties when using apostilled diplomas issued at T.G. Shevchenko Pridnestrovian State University abroad.

The night before, a Su-34 military aircraft crashed in the city of Yeysk, Krasnodar Region. As a result of the tragic incident, 13 people died, dozens suffered burns.

As a sign of mourning, PMR Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Stetsiuk and officers of the Foreign Ministry laid flowers at the Tiraspol Consular Field Mission of the Embassy of the Russian Federation.

On October 5, the Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting with Celestine Greenwood, a British lawyer who had been invited by the OSCE Mission to conduct international expertise on issues related to protecting children’s rights, including adoption, in Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Social Protection and Labor, and the Ministry of Justice, who take part in meetings of expert (working) groups on social protection, humanitarian aid, and legal and documentation support for citizens.

“There is a significant decline in the dynamics and quality of the dialogue between Pridnestrovie and the Moldovan authorities. Over the past year, the meetings of the negotiators have been unstable, and the irresponsible approach of the Moldovan side prevents the solution of acute problems and creates new ones.
