Today, an online meeting of expert (working) groups on transport and road infrastructure development initiated by Pridnestrovie took place. The discussion addressed the core aspects of resuming the full operation of the Vehicle Registration Offices in Tiraspol and Rybnitsa.
The Foreign Ministry hereby informs that the VROs renew the acceptance of documents for the issuance of agreed certificates and neutral license plates. As before, the single number 123 and the website http://www.prts.info/ are available to manage the line and be put on the waitlist.
Due to the need for the Moldovan side to adopt a number of additional regulations, only vehicles imported to Pridnestrovie before April 24, 2018, as well as those whose owners previously received the so-called TV-24 form will be eligible for the VRO registration at the current stage. Registration of the vehicles imported after the signing of the Protocol Decision was discussed by the parties. An appropriate mechanism is expected to be elaborated in the coming months, which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will inform about additionally.
The sides discussed the issues related to line management, registration of vehicles by Pridnestrovian citizens who do not have RM documents, and also considered possible solutions to increase the number of Pridnestrovian service stations providing services for technical inspection of vehicles with neutral license plates.
The participants agreed to continue regular consultations on the full range of aspects concerning the implementation of the VRO mechanism.
