The Foreign Ministry hosted the meeting between Deputy Foreign Minister Alexandr Stetsiuk and the delegation of the World Health Organization.
Opening the meeting, the diplomat recalled the successful experience of cooperation with the organization in previous years, including during the Covid-19 pandemic. Furthermore, Alexandr Stetsiuk drew the guests’ attention to the problems with the import of medicines and medical equipment for the needs of the Pridnestrovian healthcare system caused by Moldova. In this context, the diplomat urged the WHO representatives to help remove the existing administrative and political obstacles in order to provide Pridnestrovians with quality and accessible medicine.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to maintain regular contacts, as well as to continue the implementation of relevant projects, including within the framework of bilateral cooperation between WHO and the Ministry of Health of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
