Acting Foreign Minister of Pridnestrovie Vitaly Ignatiev held a meeting with Director of the Russian Institute of Strategic Studies Leonid Reshetnikov, while on a working visit to Moscow.
The meeting exchanged views on the current international political situation around Pridnestrovie. The two sides discussed in detail the current state of the settlement process in the Moldovan-Pridnestrovian relations through the prism of measures of pressure unilaterally taken by Kishinev against Pridnestrovie.
Today, while on a working visit to the Russian capital, Acting Foreign Minister of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev met with Assistant to Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Special Representative of the Russian President for Pridnestrovie D. Rogozin Dmitry Loskutov. Taking part in the meeting was also Director General of the Scientific Industrial CJSC “Elektromash” Vladimir Trandasir.
Deputy Foreign Minister of the PMR Dmitry Palamarchuk gave an interview to a German documentary film-maker Steffi Wurster today; she visited Tiraspol within the framework of making a documentary film about the peacekeeping mission on the Dniester “Post No. 6 - The three sides of the river”.
Head of the Foreign Ministry of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic V. Ignatiev held a meeting with State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation G. Karasin in the framework of his working visit to the Russian Federation on April 12, 2016. The meeting was also attended by Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergey Gubarev and Deputy Director of the Second Department of the CIS of the Russian Foreign Ministry Vitaly Tryapitsyn.
The Foreign Ministry held a meeting with European Union representatives, led by Head of the European Commission’s Directorate General Department for Trade Petros Sourmelis. From the European side the meeting was also attended by Head of the EU Delegation in Moldova Pirkka Tapiola. From the Pridnestrovian side - acting Foreign Minister of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev and Economic Development Minister of the PMR Dmitry Boltrushko.
Presentation of Aleksandr Sergeyev’s book titled “Pridnestrovie today: problems and prospects of vital activity”, published by the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies took place at the T.G. Shevchenko Pridnestrovian State University.
Following the visit that took place on 5-6 April to Pridnestrovie and Moldova the delegation of mediators and observers in the “Permanent Conference ...” in the 5+2 format has adopted a communiqué.
The brief statement posted on the official website of the OSCE reads that the mediators and observers were encouraged by the commitment shown by Kishinev and Tiraspol to reinvigorate the dialogue.

A webinar on “American ideology and the US pretension to global dominance” was held in the conference hall of the T.G. Shevchenko Pridnestrovian State University today. It was organized by the Dniester-Prut Center of the Russian Institute of Strategic Studies (RISS). Reports were given to students and teachers by Russian philosopher and publicist Aleksandr Dugin, Senior Research Scientist of the RISS Section for the US and Latin America Sergei Mikhailov.
As part of the dialogue held by Deputy Foreign Minister of the PMR Dmitry Palamarchuk with UNICEF Deputy Representative in Moldova Margarita Tileva the sides discussed topical issues of social protection of children without parental custody. Taking part in the meeting was also First Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the PMR Oleg Fedotov.
Today, at the initiative of the Pridnestrovian side Acting Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev had a telephone conversation with Foreign Minister of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Karen Mirzoyan.
This year’s first meeting of Pridnestrovie and Moldova’s expert (working) groups on ecology was held in the office of the OSCE Mission in Kishinev on March 31, 2016. The meeting was devoted to the harmonization of draft document on inter-agency cooperation between Pridnestrovie and Moldova’s services conducting hydrometeorological observation and environmental monitoring.
The meeting of the expert (working) groups on railway communication was held at the initiative of the Pridnestrovian side in the Kishinev office of the OSCE Mission on March 30, 2016.

Today, on March 29, 2016, the office of the OSCE Mission in Kishinev hosted this year’s first meeting of the expert (working) groups on customs cooperation. The meeting was attended by representatives of the mediators and observers in the negotiation process.
At the initiative of the Moldovan side the meeting exchanged views on the prospects of cooperation in providing mutual statistical information on the ongoing foreign economic activity, including mutual trade between Pridnestrovie and Moldova.
The next stage of removal of ionizing radiation sources was held on March 25, 2016. The ionizing radiation sources (IRS) were removed from the territory of JSC “Moldavskaya GRES” (state power station) with a view to burring subsequently in a special facility in the Republic of Moldova. The procedure was organized with the participation of representatives of the Civil Protection Headquarters, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Republican Centre of Hygiene and Epidemiology, and other relevant bodies. Total amount of the removed sources was 1,052 units.
Today, on 23 March 2016 Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev participated in the session of the Pridnestrovian Supreme Council at the invitation of parliamentarians. During the plenary meeting the head of the Foreign Ministry gave a comprehensive explanation on topical issues of the current activities of the Pridnestrovian Foreign Ministry.
