This year’s first meeting of Pridnestrovie and Moldova’s expert (working) groups on ecology was held in the office of the OSCE Mission in Kishinev on March 31, 2016. The meeting was devoted to the harmonization of draft document on inter-agency cooperation between Pridnestrovie and Moldova’s services conducting hydrometeorological observation and environmental monitoring. The agreement to conclude the relevant interdepartmental documents in the field of ecology and environmental protection was achieved at the review Conference on Confidence-Building Measures held on 29-30 October 2015 in Rottach-Egern (Bavaria, FRG), during which the Protocol decision “On cooperation in the field of environmental protection and rational use of natural resources” was signed. The meeting approved the parameters and content of the draft agreement. At the same time, in the context of additions to the content of certain provisions of the document voiced by Moldovan experts, the sides agreed to finalize it for signing for the next meeting.
