The Ministry of Foreign Affairs took note of the biased media statements by the Official Representative of Moldova to the Council of Europe on the Romanian-language schools on the territory of Pridnestrovie.

In this regard, we draw the Moldovan official's attention to the fact that the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic is committed to an approach allowing its citizens to exercise their right to freely choose the language of instruction and get education in appropriate educational institutions.

A regular meeting of expert (working) groups on education from Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova was held today in a videoconference format.

The parties discussed the progress in implementing the protocol decisions in the field of education, signed in November 2017, noting the overall positive dynamics in this area. At the same time, the Moldovan side's attention was drawn to a number of remaining difficulties in using apostilled diplomas abroad.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomes the statement adopted by the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation regarding the inadmissibility of any destructive moves from the neighboring states against Pridnestrovie and the need for measures to support Russian citizens and Russian compatriots living in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.

The mentioned document has once again confirmed the significant role of the Russian Federation as a guarantor country and mediator in the Moldovan-Pridnestrovian settlement.

After a two-month pause, on June 11, took place a videoconference format meeting of Expert (Working) Groups on Transport from Pridnestrovie and Moldova.

The main discussion’s issue was the VRO’s activities blocking by the Moldovan side. Problems within offices operation arose as a result of Moldovan side’s unilateral and uncoordinated increase of tariffs for services from June 1, 2021.

Today, the Pridnestrovian side initiated a video format meeting of Expert (Working) Groups on customs interaction.

During the meeting, the sides discussed aspects related to the implementation of international transit of goods through the territories of Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova. The experts outlined approaches that, in their opinion, could become the basis for the draft of the corresponding protocol decision, and expressed their readiness to continue work to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has received reports about employees of the State Border Service of Ukraine refusing to admit to enter the territory of Ukraine citizens vaccinated in Pridnestrovie and possessing corresponding certificates of international standard issued in Pridnestrovie.

On June 8, this year's first meeting of Expert (Working) Groups on Medicines Import was held in a videoconference mode.

During the meeting, parties exchanged views on the parameters for maintaining state registers of medical products admitted to circulation on the markets of the parties, as well as on the current rules for the import of such products.
