The meeting of the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Austria to the Republic of Moldova Stella Avallone took place in the Conference Room of the President’s Office. This is the first visit to Pridnestrovie paid by the diplomat in this position. However, she has already visited the republic before. Stella Avallone is familiar with the history of the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and Moldova.
Today, the Pridnestrovian Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting of Minister Vitaly Ignatiev with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Austria to the Republic of Moldova Stella Avallone.
Welcoming the Austrian diplomat, Vitaly Ignatiev noted the good experience of interaction with Austria in the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova, including the Austrian OSCE Chairmanship in 2017.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted a statement by the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor Relations, US Department of State, regarding court rulings related to several nationals of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
The PMR's Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting between Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and Vitaly Yankovsky, the Head of the Official Representation of the Republic of South Ossetia in the PMR.
During the conversation, the diplomats substantively addressed the promising areas of work as part of Pridnestrovie-South Ossetia bilateral cooperation development. In particular, implementation of specific activities in line with the inter-ministerial interaction in the second half of this year was discussed.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev took part in a special scientific session of the Institute of CIS Countries at the invitation of Konstantin Zatulin, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots. The event was held to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the Institute.
