The meeting of the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Austria to the Republic of Moldova Stella Avallone took place in the Conference Room of the President’s Office. This is the first visit to Pridnestrovie paid by the diplomat in this position. However, she has already visited the republic before. Stella Avallone is familiar with the history of the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and Moldova. She participated in it before as part of the Austrian delegation, including the Austrian OSCE Chairmanship back in 2000.
Welcoming the Ambassador, Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that he expects to learn the opinion of Austrian diplomacy on the situation in the negotiations, the prospects for developing a dialogue and building good neighbor relations between the two republics. The Head of the Pridnestrovian State also asked about vision of Stella Avallone and her colleagues regarding the participation of the European Union in the negotiation process.
The participants of this international meeting paid special attention to bilateral Pridnestrovian-Austrian relations. They talked about possible economic and humanitarian contacts, and agreed to build up cooperation in various areas of mutual interest.
