After a two-month pause, on June 11, took place a videoconference format meeting of Expert (Working) Groups on Transport from Pridnestrovie and Moldova.
The main discussion’s issue was the VRO’s activities blocking by the Moldovan side. Problems within offices operation arose as a result of Moldovan side’s unilateral and uncoordinated increase of tariffs for services from June 1, 2021.
During the discussion, the Pridnestrovian delegation made practical proposals aimed at resolving the situation that occurred and called as well for preventing further destructive measures that impede the VRO’s full-fledged work.
Within the framework of the meeting, an overview of the situation related to the implementation of provisions fixed in the October 7, 2020 Protocol of VRO assessment visit was carried out. The Pridnestrovian side stated that with no justification Moldova delays fulfilling obligations under a number of provisions of this document and misinforms the mediators and observers in the negotiation process.
Pridnestrovian experts called on representatives of the Republic of Moldova to return to professional and responsible work and eliminate the current problems that impede to successfully implement the agreement on Pridnestrovian vehicles participating in the international road traffic.
