The PMR’s MFA hosted a meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs Vitaly Ignatiev and Head of OSCE Mission to Moldova Michael Scanlan.
During the discussion the sides exchanged views on a wide range of issues related to the current state of the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova.
On 8 September 2016 the capital of the Russian Federation hosted a meeting between the PMR Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and Assistant to Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Special Representative of the Russian President for Pridnestrovie D. Rogozin Dmitry Loskutov.
During the meeting the interlocutors discussed the current state of bilateral cooperation between Russia and Pridnestrovie in the socio-economic and humanitarian spheres, in particular, a series of informational projects.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Karen Mirzoyan sent congratulations to the Head of the Foreign Ministry Vitaly Ignatiev on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
In his salutary address, the head of the Nagorno-Karabakh diplomacy noted with satisfaction that the PMR has made significant progress in strengthening the sovereignty, political and social development during the years of independence.
Today, at the airport of Kishinev Moldova’s border police detained and then deported Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Oleg Nurievich Arshba travelling to Pridnestrovie at the invitation of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
It should be noted that the Pridnestrovian side had informed the RM about the planned visit of the foreign guest in advance in accordance with the established procedure. However, despite this fact, the repressive measures were applied to the representative of Abkhazia.
The Head of State Yevgeny Shevchuk has appointed Vitaly Ignatiev to the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR.
“I hope that you will continue all the good that has been done as a lot has been done and will bring something new. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be even more powerful agency in terms of the implementation of the foreign policy of Pridnestrovie” – said the President.
The PMR’s MFA hosted a meeting between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Palamarchuk and a delegation of the British Embassy, headed by Charge D’affaires ad Interim of Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in the Republic of Moldova Neil Martin.
During the discussion, Dmitry Palamarchuk and Neil Martin discussed the progress in implementing joint projects of socio-cultural nature, as well as the current situation in the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova.
Moscow hosted a meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev and Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergey Gubarev.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Dmitry Palamarchuk met with the Deputy Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Stephen Young.
The discussion on the initiative of the Pridnestrovian side focused on the problems of railway import of goods to Pridnestrovie. Dmitry Palamarchuk noted the acute current situation and drew attention to the need for urgent solutions for its stabilization.
The PMR’s MFA hosted a meeting between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Palamarchuk and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to the Republic of Moldova Matyas Szilagyi.
OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier met with Chairman of the Government of the PMR Pavel Prokudin. The meeting was also attended by members of the Government of Pridnestrovie.
According to Pavel Prokudin, the sides discussed the execution of the Berlin Protocol as well as the railway blockade of Pridnestrovie, organized by Moldova and Ukraine.
