The meeting took place in the Russian Federation.
Moscow hosted a meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev and Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergey Gubarev.
During the meeting the sides discussed in detail the current situation in the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova. The main attention was paid to the problem of the blockade of railway imports in Pridnestrovie. In particular, there was general concern expressed about a minimum number of contacts between Pridnestrovie and Moldova on this sensitive issue recently due to the fact the representatives of the Republic of Moldova has been avoiding a dialogue.
The interlocutors also analyzed thoroughly further work of the “Permanent Conference...”. In particular, they noted general consensus on the need for the next 5+2 meeting in the near future, including for the purpose of discussing ways to make progress on the implementation of the Berlin Protocol.
At the meeting Vitaly Ignatiev and Sergey Gubarev also discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation between Russia and Pridnestrovie in the socio-economic, humanitarian and other fields
