Delegation of the PridnestrovianMoldavian Republic today departed for Berlin for an official meeting of the “Permanent Conference on Political Issues in the Framework of the Negotiating Process for the Pridnestrovian Settlement”, which will be held on 2-3 June this year.
President Yevgeny Shevchuk held an enlarged meeting of the Security Council and the State Council of the PMR. In the agenda there were issues of economic security of the country as a whole, as well as the functioning of the international transport communication and the SUE “Pridnestrovian Railway”, the current situation on the currency market. The meeting was attended by the heads of the executive, legislative and judicial branches of government, the Presidential Administration.
Head of state Yevgeny Shevchuk received Acting Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and Director of the SUE “Pridnestrovian Railway” Oleg Kulbikov. The meeting was also attended by Chairman of the Government Pavel Prokudin.
The working meeting focused on a broad spectrum of issues related to the situation in the Pridnestrovian railway and outlook for the enterprise.
Today, May 26, 2016, a meeting of Pridnestrovie and Moldova’s expert (working) groups on the development of transport and road facilities was held in the office of the OSCE Mission in Tiraspol.
President Yevgeny Shevchuk had a meeting with acting Foreign Minister. Vitaly Ignatiev informed the president about the current situation in the work of the expert (working) groups from Pridnestrovie and Moldova.
The meeting between Acting Foreign Minister of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev and OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities Astrid Thors was held at the PMR's MFA. The meeting was also attended by Minister of Education of the PMR Tatyana Tsivinskaya.
President of Pridnestrovie Yevgeny Shevchuk received Head of the European Union Delegation in Moldova Pirkka Tapiola. The meeting was also attended by Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev.
Following the discussions held on 20 May 2016, a regular meeting of the expert (working) groups on education took place in the office of the OSCE Mission in Kishinev, in the presence of representatives on political issues from Pridnestrovie and Moldova.
Today the 6th edition of the American Film Festival was held at the Tiraspol Cinema. The ceremony was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Moldova James Pettit and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Dmitry Palamarchuk.
In the framework of the agreements reached during the meeting in the format “1+1” on May 5 this year in Kishinev, a meeting of the expert (working) groups on education took place in the presence of representatives on political issues from Pridnestrovie and Moldova Vitaly Ignatiev and Gheorghe Balan at the OSCE Mission office in Tiraspol on May 20, 2016.
The meeting was focused on matters related to the possibility to use documents on education, including higher education, issued in Pridnestrovie, for continuing studies or obtaining employment abroad.
