Today, the Pridnestrovian side initiated a video conference meeting of Expert (Working) Groups on customs.
Just as within previous meetings, the key issue for discussion was seizure of a number of goods that belong to commercial Pridnestrovian entities. The Pridnestrovian side called for eliminating the unjustified practice when obstructing road and rail transportation of goods (including excisable ones) for domestic consumption to Pridnestrovie.
A videoconference format discussion of Expert (Working) Groups on Transport took place.
During the meeting, the parties analyzed the current situation in the field of international passenger transportation. The sides made a decision to improve coordination and clarify aspects related to runs’ (carried out by PMR transport companies) cancellation or redistribution between the territories of Pridnestrovie and Moldova.
The first meeting of the Head of the Pridnestrovian state with the Head of the OSCE Mission to the Republic of Moldova took place at the site of Pridnestrovian President’s Administration. Welcoming Klaus Neukirch, Vadim Krasnoselsky thanked the guest for the visit and expressed hope that in the coming year, unlike in 2020, the pandemic will not have a negative impact on the negotiation process. The PMR’s President emphasized that society’s life should absolutely not depend on circumstances associated with the virus spread.
The Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev with the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Vataman.
Today, after a half-year break took place a video format meeting of representatives on political issues from Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova, Vitaly Ignatiev and Olga Cebotari.
During the conversation, parties discussed a number of upcoming events within the framework of the Moldovan-Pridnestrovian settlement with a special emphasis on possible mechanisms for restoring the functionality and rhythm of the "5 + 2" international format work according to the negotiation process’ principles and procedures.
The Foreign Ministry hosted the meeting of the Pridnestrovian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vitaly Ignatiev with the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Klaus Neukirch.
During the meeting, a wide range of topical issues within the framework of relations between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova settlement were discussed. The diplomats agreed on the negative dialogue dynamics between the parties at the current stage which is characterized by the emergence of new problematic aspects.
Some of the republic’s enterprises have recently appealed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic informing about the facts of illegitimate detention at the Kuchurgany checkpoint and on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, of a number of goods intended for internal consumption within Pridnestrovie.
Without arranging any personal meeting, the Pridnestrovian President and the Prime Minister of Moldova signed an additional Protocol that is prolonging the Protocol Decision’s validity “On resumption principles of full-fledged freight railway communication through the territory of Pridnestrovie”. According to the agreement reached, the document will be valid until June 30, 2021.
The PMR’s Foreign Ministry hosted the meeting of Pridnestrovian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vitaly Ignatiev and the Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Office in the Republic of Moldova, Andrey Muravyov. Assistant to the PMR’s President, Vitaly Bondar and Deputy Foreign Minister of the PMR, Alexander Stetsiuk attended the meeting as well.
The Pridnestrovian President had a conversation with Russian politician Konstantin Kosachev. Senators Farit Mukhametshin and Sergei Muratov representing the Russian Federation together with Vitaly Ignatiev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR representing the Pridnestrovian side, attended the meeting as well.
The head of the Pridnestrovian state thanked the Federation Council’s leadership for arranging the visit of senators as observers at the recent parliamentary elections to the PMR, and for constant attention to the processes taking place in the republic and around it.
