After a nine months’ pause, the OSCE Mission Office in Tiraspol hosted a meeting of relevant experts, initiated by the Pridnestrovian side, to discuss the issues of medicine imports to Pridnestrovie in the context of the joint customs and border control of Moldova and Ukraine at the Kuchurgan checkpoint.

During the meeting, the Pridnestrovian side addressed once again its approaches to ensuring solid supply of medicines to the PMR based on the historical system and the needs of the Pridnestrovian pharmacological market and patients.

Alexander Stetsiuk met with the Human Rights Adviser-UN Resident Coordinator in Moldova Bea Ferenci and the National Coordinator of the UN High Commissioner Office.

Greeting the guests, Alexander Stetsiuk stated that development of collaboration with the UN is one of the main priority of the Pridnestrovian foreign policy. As he said, the activity of ON entities in the Republic is focused on the social and humanitarian sphere and has a practical orientation.

An exhibition of works by students of the A.F. Foynitsky Children Art School opened at the MFA of the PMR marking the 60th anniversary of the School. The event was attended by the Spokesman of the MFA of the Pridnestrovian Foreign Ministry Yakov Chaykin, the Head of the A.F. Foynitsky Children Art School Marya Maryan, Head of the Linocut Class Oleg Boltnev and the representatives of the Tiraspol Cultural Department and the artistic community of Pridnestrovie.

The meeting was also attended by the Chairman of the Pridnestrovian Republican Bank Vladislav Tidva and the Deputy Foreign Minister of the PMR Alexander Stetsiuk.

During the Free Movement session, the discussion touched upon the pressing issue regarding driving licenses used by Pridnestrovian nationals within the international traffic. Pridnestrovie suggested particular solution modalities considering mediators’ opinion and earlier commitments to allow international traffic participation with no discrimination to all persons enjoying the VRO mechanism access.

On November 4-5, 2019, Bavaria hosted unofficial CBM Conference between the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and the Republic of Moldova under support of the German Foreign Ministry.

The participants discussed the priority issues within three thematic sessions of the conference: Economics, Trade and Banking, Education and Freedom of Movement.

On November 1, 2019 the OSCE Mission Office in Tiraspol hosted an expanded format meeting of Expert (Working) Groups on Economic Issues initiated by the Pridnestrovian side.

At the meeting, the experts of the sides initialed the Protocol Decision on Cooperation for Elimination of Trade and Consumer Technical Barriers. The agreement is expected to be signed by political representatives in the near future.

Pridnestrovian Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Stetsyuk and Head of the Official Representative Office of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vitaly Yankovsky.

The meeting included a substantive discussion on a wide range of topical issues within the cooperation agenda between Pridnestrovie and South Ossetia, as well as on promising areas of bilateral cooperation for the upcoming period.

On October 25, 2019, the OSCE Mission Office in Kishinev hosted a meeting of Expert (Working) Groups on Humanitarian Aid Issues from Pridnestrovie and Republic of Moldova. During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects of signing the Protocol Decision on Mechanism for Return of Identified Unattended Children to Permanent Place of Residence.

The experts, also, touched upon other relevant humanitarian issues.

House of Official Receptions hosted a meeting of Pridnestrovian Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev with a large delegation representing foreign affairs agencies of the EU countries. The delegation included diplomats from 14 states, among them Germany, France, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary, Poland, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Sweden, Romania, Slovenia, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. The Pridnestrovian side was represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Stetsyuk and Ambassador-at-Large in the rank of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Ruslan Slobodenyuk.

On the initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pridnestrovie, the OSCE Mission Office in Kishinev hosted the regular meeting of banking subgroups. The Pridnestrovian delegation was led by Vladislav Tidva, Chairman of the Pridnestrovian Republican Bank.

Pridnestrovian Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev held a meeting with the heads and members of several expert groups from Pridnestrovie in order to discuss the prospects for further progress within the negotiation process. The list of priority issues includes economics and banks, freight rail services and the participation of Pridnestrovian vehicles in international road traffic, telecommunications, education, legal and documentation support for people.
