Vitaly Ignatiev Met with Sergey Gubarev, the Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry

During the visit to the capital of the Russian Federation, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev met with Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sergey Gubarev.

The central aspect of the meeting was the discussion of the current situation in the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova with an emphasis on some of the informal confidence-building conference results held in Bavaria on November 4-5. In particular, the parties expressed concerns about the declining dynamics of work at all levels of the negotiation process and the effectiveness of its mechanisms when contrasted with appearance of new problems in relations between the parties. The participants emphasized the need to maintain a systemic dialogue in the negotiation process and unconditional implementation of previously reached agreements in the interests of the people.

During the conversation, Vitaly Ignatiev and Sergey Gubarev also discussed the development of bilateral contacts between Russia and Pridnestrovie in a range of relevant areas. Special attention was paid to the current functioning of the peacekeeping operation under the auspices of Russia.

At the end of the meeting, the interlocutors agreed to maintain communication on all current issues.
