The Foreign Ministry reports that RM law enforcement representatives in the Causeni customs terminal unlawfully broke into the car owned by the Pridnestrovian carrier and seized part of the batch of the Pridnestrovian-type plates.

We consider another provocation from Chisinau designed to aggravate problems in the road transport sector with the aim to violate the rights and interests of residents of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic to be an evidence of the Republic of Moldova’s refusal to act adequately in negotiations with Pridnestrovie.

The Pridnestrovian Foreign Ministry considered the comment of Moldova’s Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita, expressing a rather strange regret that “the Pridnestrovian side preferred direct letters to use existing formats”. At the same time, Moldova’s representative believes that Pridnestrovie “must go through the existing formats first”.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs that on December 22 of this year, the customs authorities of the Republic of Moldova unreasonably detained a cargo comprising neutral and Pridnestrovian license plates.

The measures taken through political and diplomatic channels to release the Pridnestrovian cargo as soon as possible did not yield positive results.

We reviewed the Moldovan Parliament’s decision to declare 2022 the “year of gratitude” to the combatants, who were sent by the Moldovan authorities to kill Pridnestrovians only for the desire to live on their land, speak their native language and raise children in their own system of cultural and moral values and traditions.

On December 9-10 of this year, at the Chisinau airport, Moldovan law enforcement agencies banned the entry of many representatives of the Russian Federation who were heading to Pridnestrovie for various purposes, including participation in monitoring the electoral process at the presidential elections of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.

The Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting of Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev with a delegation of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic consisting of the Head of the Government Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Arayik Lazaryan and the Secretary General of the Chief of Staff at the Foreign Ministry Semen Afiyan. The delegates arrived in Pridnestrovie as international observers for the presidential elections of the PMR, which are scheduled for December 12 this year.

The Foreign Ministry reviewed the statement by the Government of the Republic of Moldova regarding the organization and conduct of the presidential elections of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic on December 12, 2021.

We regret to note that the authorities of the neighboring republic have been in a deeply contradictory state for thirty years, speculating on phantom illusions and misleading their own people and the international community.

PMR Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev gave an interview to Norisada Takafumi, the correspondent of the Hokkaido Shimbun newspaper. The journalist was interested in a wide range of issues related to the Moldovan-Pridnestrovian negotiation process, cooperation of Pridnestrovie with the Russian Federation and other countries, as well as the situation resulting from the banking, financial and vehicle blockade of Pridnestrovie.

The journalist was interested in a wide range of issues connected with the Moldovan-Pridnestrovian conflict, relations of Pridnestrovie with Ukraine and the European Union, as well as regional security.

On November 22, a meeting of human rights expert (working) subgroups was held via videoconference.

Apart from the human rights matters currently handled at the level of field specialists, the Pridnestrovian delegation drew the participants’ attention to the massively violated rights of the PMR residents as a result of the ban introduced by Moldova and Ukraine on the movement of Pridnestrovian vehicles, including reanimobiles. These include the fundamental rights to free movement, entrepreneurial activity and qualified medical care.

A meeting of political representatives from Pridnestrovie and Moldova was held at the OSCE Mission office in Chisinau. The hosts of the discussion did not provide technical facilities for the presence of representatives of mediators and observers at the meeting. The Pridnestrovian side indicated the incorrectness of such approaches due to the established communication formats within the meetings of political representatives and received assurances about preventing the recurrence of such situations in the future.

Today, a meeting of expert (working) groups on economic issues took place in a videoconference format. The Pridnestrovian delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development Sergey Obolonik included representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the leadership of the Pridnestrovian Union of Industrialists, Agrarians and Entrepreneurs (SPAPP).

Today, the Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting of Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev with the Head of the OSCE Mission Claus Neukirch.

During the working discussion, the diplomats reviewed the current state of the dialogue between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova given the disruption by the Moldovan side of the 5+2 Permanent Conference meeting due on November 2-3 this year. Possible immediate moves within the negotiation process were also announced, including arranging the meetings at the level of expert (working) groups.

Today, the presentation of the fourth volume of the monograph “History of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic” took place in the small hall of the Palace of the Republic. The event was attended by members of the editorial board and the composite authors of the publication, including the PMR Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and the State Adviser to the PMR President Anna Volkova, as well as the First President of the PMR Igor Smirnov, heads of executive authorities, Rector and professors of the Taras Shevchenko PSU, etc.

Vadim Krasnoselsky met with Uldis Mikuts, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to the Republic of Moldova, in the office of the Head of the Pridnestrovian State. The previous communication is dated 2019. The sides noted that the pandemic and the rhythm of society’s life that it affected creates a feeling of a much longer absence of bilateral contacts.
