The Pridnestrovian Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted the Republic of Moldova’s next in turn fact of blocking freight import to Pridnestrovie. And namely, since April 25, the Republic of Moldova is detaining on its territory the vehicle that transports equipment meant for providing security to the healthcare workers in the fight against coronavirus infection pandemic.
The Pridnestrovian Ministry of Foreign Affairs cannot leave without reaction the latest hypocritical and false in their content attacks of the Moldovan authorities on Pridnestrovie voiced by the Republic of Moldova’s political representative.
In the framework of constant working communication, a telephone conversation between the Pridnestrovian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vitaly Ignatiev and the Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sergey Gubarev took place.
The Minister expressed his gratitude to the Russian side for its substantial support in the fight against the coronavirus infection spread in Pridnestrovie, including the donation of 5000 tests and related reagents for COVID-19 virus disease detecting.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR welcomed the decision of the Moldovan side to facilitate accommodation and professional conditions on the territory of the Republic of Moldova for the medical staff concerned during the lockdown.
The Pridnestrovian side has initially been consistent in proposing this recommendation to Moldovan representatives and welcomes this long-overdue decision taking into account the international and Pridnestrovian experience in coronavirus infection containment based on people’s life and health care.
The PMR Ministry of Foreign Affairs reviewed the representative on political issues from the Republic of Moldova Cristina Lesnic’s statements on convening a kind of “emergency” video meeting with the “5 + 2” format representatives’ participation.
As able to see, due to the lack of convincing arguments, the Moldovan side is demonstrating a critical decline in its professional level and that negatively affects the dialogue quality and impedes progress in the settlement.

The Pridnestrovian Foreign Minister held a video format negotiation with the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Thomas Mayr-Harting and the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Klaus Neukirch.
The President invited the PMR Government Chairman Alexander Martynov, the PMR Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and Ruslan Mova the Minister of Internal Affairs and head of Operational Headquarter on Prevention the coronavirus spread to discuss the issue of assuring uninterrupted food and medicine supplies to Pridnestrovie during pandemic. They talked about the current situation, the current level of communication in this direction, the problems the republic is facing and the measures taken to solve them.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR continues to provide assistance to Pridnestrovian citizens who are in difficult situation due to air, rail and transport links suspension, and due to work limitation of checkpoints in many European countries, including Russia and Ukraine.
