On Measures Taken to Return Pridnestrovian Citizens to the Republic

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR continues to provide assistance to Pridnestrovian citizens who are in difficult situation due to air, rail and transport links suspension, and due to work limitation of checkpoints in many European countries, including Russia and Ukraine.

In particular, continues the processing of incoming questionnaires from Pridnestrovian citizens residing in foreign countries. To date, the Foreign Ministry has received over 200 questionnaires from 23 countries, more than half come from Pridnestrovian citizens who are on short visits in Russia.

Depending upon incoming information, the PMR foreign policy department takes political and diplomatic measures in the framework of interaction with foreign states and develops proposals aimed at returning Pridnestrovians to the republic taking into account existing transport logistics.

Additionally, the PMR Ministry of Foreign Affairs offers counselling to the Russian Federation citizens who are currently in Pridnestrovie and wish to return to Russia.

In order to promptly provide assistance to citizens, the questionnaires, the incoming and other calls processions are ongoing daily, seven days a week.
