Today, the President of the PMR Yevgeny Shevchuk met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to the Republic of Moldova Farit Mukhametshin. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR for international cooperation, Foreign Minister Nina Shtanski.
The participants discussed the actual issues of bilateral cooperation, inter alia inter-government coordination on the realization of the “Rogozin-Shevchuk” Protocol.
Today, Landshut (Germany) hosted the meeting of the facilitators of the Conference on Confidence Building Measures with heads of delegations from Pridnestrovian and Moldovan sides. State Secretary of the Foreign Ministry of Germany Michael Link, the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Leonid Kozhara, the President of Pridnestrovie Yevgeny Shevchuk and the Prime Minister of Moldova Yuriy Lyanke discussed a wide range of issues to normalize relations between Pridnestrovie and Moldova.
In the framework of the official visit of the delegation of Pridnestrovie to the Republic of Abkhazia, Head of the State Evgeny Shevchuk met with President of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov, official web-site of the President of the PMR reports.
The President of Pridnestrovie Yevgeny Shevchuk pays working visit to the capital of the Russian Federation. In Moscow, the Head of the State met with Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the Russian Federation, Special Representative of the President of the RF for Pridnestrovie Dmitry Rogozin. In the course of the meeting, interlocutors discussed the current situation in Pridnestrovie and outlined the next steps for socio-economic development of the country. The dialogue was held in the Government House of the Russian Federation.
The President of Pridnestrovie Yevgeny Shevchuk hosted Sergey Pirozhkov, Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary of Ukraine in the Republic of Moldova. The key point of the meeting were arrangements to the regular 5+2 negotiation round which is scheduled for the end of May in Odessa. It will be still focused on socio-economic issues.
Today the Head of the State Yevgeny Shevchuk hosted Sergey Gubarev, the Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, and Vitaly Tryapitsyn, Deputy Director of the Second Department of CIS-countries, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the RF at the Administration of the President. Deputy Chairperson of the Government, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pridnestrovie Nina Shtanski also participated at the meeting.
The Head of the State Yevgeny Shevchuk received the UN Senior Expert on Human Rights in Pridnestrovie. Exchange of opinions on several aspects of the report drawn up by Thomas Hammarberg took place at the Office of the President. It will be recalled that the UN Senior Expert on Human Rights in Pridnestrovie studied situation in the Republic during the whole 2012. He visited a number of detention facilities, institutions of health care and social protection, and exchanged views with the representatives of the executive and judicial branches.
The President of the PMR Yevgeny Shevchuk hosted the OSCE delegation headed by Andrey Deshchitsa, the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office for Protracted Conflicts, Ambassador-at-Large. The delegation included also Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary of Ukraine in the Republic of Moldova Sergey Pirozhkov, the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Jennifer Brush and some other officers from the Ukrainian Embassy in Moldova and the OSCE Mission to Moldova.
