The Pridnestrovian President Vadim Krasnoselsky met with Alexander Pankin, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation at the Reception House of the Russian Foreign Ministry. The event took place in a working breakfast format. Vitaly Ignatiev, the Head of the Foreign Ministry and Alexei Polishchuk, Director of the Second Department of the CIS Countries of the Russian Foreign Ministry together with his deputy Alexander Kondakov attended the meeting as well.
Being in the Russian capital, the Head of the Pridnestrovian State met with Farit Mukhametshin, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs. Years of diplomatic interaction associate the Russian statesman with Pridnestrovie: from 2012 to 2018, Farit Mukhametshin headed the Russian Embassy in the Republic of Moldova and used to be a frequent guest of Pridnestrovie; he is well acquainted with the situation in the republic and around its perimeter and is firsthand acquainted with the history of the Permanent Conference..." format functioning.
The Pridnestrovian President arrived in the Russian capital on a working visit. A number of meetings with representatives of the State Duma, the Federation Council, the Russian Foreign Ministry and other government agencies and Russian departments are planned for the coming days. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Moldova Zdeněk Krejčí and his deputy Martin Cech are paying a working visit to Tiraspol. The Head of Pridnestrovian State received the diplomats. The meeting is taking place at the site of the PMR President's Administration. The agenda includes issues of bilateral cooperation between countries in various areas, contacts through the Czech Embassy, activities of the "Permanent Conference ..." format and other issues of mutual interest.
The first meeting of the Commission on Foreign Policy and International Relations of the VII convocation of the Supreme Council of the PMR took place on December 11. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Alexander Stetsiuk attended it as well.
The Pridnestrovian Foreign Minister, Vitaly Ignatiev participated in an "Open Air" talk show on the Russian TV channel Zvezda. The program touched upon topical issues of the Moldovan-Pridnestrovian conflict, on the peacekeeping operation on the Dniester functioning and on current political and socio-economic situation around Pridnestrovie.
A video conference of expert (working) groups on economic issues was held today with the participation of representatives of mediators and observers.
During the meeting, interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues related to the foreign economic activity of Pridnestrovian economic agents and to the import of various categories of goods.
In addition, the sides touched upon certain issues related to freight railway communication organization.
The Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation hosted a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev and the Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Vitaly Tryapitsyn.
Deputy Foreign Minister of the PMR Alexander Stetsiuk held an online format conference with Bea Ferenci, Human Rights Advisor to the UN Resident Coordinator in Moldova. Vyacheslav Kosinsky, the Commissioner for Human Rights in the PMR attended the meeting as well.
The Head of Pridnestrovian State met with the delegation led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Her Majesty the Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Moldova, at the site of Pridnestrovian President's Administration. Vadim Krasnoselsky and Stephen Fischer communicate for the third time this year. Among other things, the current visit of the British diplomat is associated with the supply of humanitarian PPE aid to Pridnestrovie, necessary in the fight against coronavirus.
