Sandor Cigoth and Budai Daniel shoot a documentary film for Hungarian television about ancient Hungarians on the territory of Pridnestrovie. Within a week filmmakers and Pridnestrovian archeologists will explore the evidence of ancient Hungarians presence on the territory of Pridnestrovie.
Russian delegation headed by Deputy Chairman of the Government of the RF, Special Representative of the President of Russia on development of trade and economic relations with Moldova Dmitry Kozak again visited Pridnestrovie. Today as the part of commemorative events to mark twenty-seventh anniversary of the Bendery Tragedy Vitaly Ignatiev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR, Leonid Manakov, Head of the Official Representation of Pridnestrovie in the Russian Federation, and Pridnestrovian compatriots visited Novodevichye Cemetery in Moscow and laid flowers on grave of Aleksandr Lebed, Head of the 14th Combined Arms Army of the Russian Federation in Prdinestrovie.
Pridnestrovian State University named after T.G. Shevchenko held the opening of Contact Centre on coordination with Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation.
Pridnestrovie pays close attention to the ongoing political confrontation in the Republic of Moldova and calls political forces of neighbouring country to be restraint and to ensure peace and stability.
We express the hope that the worsening political crisis will not harm the ability of the Republic of Moldova to implement the agreements in the negotiating process that focused on solving urgent social and humanitarian issues in the interests of the people.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR publishes Additional Protocol to Protocol Decision dd. March 30, 2012 signed without meeting between leaders of Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova.
By mutual consent, Protocol Decision On the Principles of Resumption of a Full-Scale Freight Railway Communication through the Territory of Pridnestrovie” was extended till December 31, 2019. The Pridnestrovian side believes that the signed Additional Protocol shall pave the way for removal of barriers and compromise settlement of the current problematic aspects in rail transportation.
The Foreign Ministry of Pridnestrovie hosted a meeting between Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and USA delegation headed by Brad Freden, Director of Office for Eastern European Affairs at the U.S. State Department.
At the initiative of the Pridnestrovian Side the OSCE Office in Tiraspol hosted a meeting of expert (working) groups on telecommunications and postal service. The representatives of mediators and observers in the negotiation process attended the meeting.
The meeting was encouraged by the lasting seizure of Russian periodicals coming to Pridnestrovian subscribers by the Republic of Moldova.
During the meeting, experts of the Sides came back to earlier proposals relating the Russian periodicals delivery and agreed to solve existing problematic aspects as soon as possible.
The Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting of Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and Her Britannic Majesty’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Moldova Lucy Joyce. Deputy Head of the Embassy Gary Davies also took part in the meeting.
Welcoming the guests, Vitaly Ignatiev highly appreciated experience of cooperation with the British side and expressed gratitude for implementation of humanitarian projects. Head of the Pridnestrovian Foreign Ministry flagged the support provided by the Embassy to Pridnestrovian emergency and fire response authorities.
