Today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR hosted joint press-conference of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vladimir Yastrebchak, Chairperson of the Central Election Committee of the PMR Petr Denisenko, and Minister of Justice Sergey Stepanov dedicated to the 5thanniversary of a Nation-Wide Referendum on Independence and choice of Pridnestrovie’s strategic development vector.
On September 15, 2011, the solemn unveiling of bust to outstanding Commander Alexander Suvorov took place in Bendery. The monument to the military commander occupied its place in the Pantheon of Russian Glory near the walls of Bendery Fortress where busts of such famous Russian military figures as Nikolay Rayevskiy, Matthias Miller, Rumyantsev and Kutuzov have already been established.

On September 2, 2011, Pridnestrovie marks the 21st anniversary since creation of the Pridnestrovien Moldavian Republic. Solemn events in Tiraspol began with laying of flowers and wreaths at the Glory Memorial by the Pridnestrovien leadership and delegations from Russia, Ukraine, Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Nagorniy Karabakh, and raising of the National Flag of the Pridnestrovien Moldavian Republic in the central square of Tiraspol.
