Today the PMR’s MFA hosted a meeting between Deputy Chairperson of the PMR’s Government for International Cooperation, Minister of Foreign Affairs Nina Shtanski and Director of the OSCE Conflict Prevention Centre, Deputy Head of the OSCE Secretariat Adam Kobieracki. The meeting was also attended by the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Michael Scanlan, Chief of Legal Department of the OSCE Secretariat Mathew Bailey, and officer of the OSCE Secretariat Conflict Prevention Center Stijn Schrooten.
Today the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a meeting between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vitaly Ignatiev and OSCE Special Representative and Co-ordinator for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings Madina Jarbussynova. Today, a group of young leaders from Europe and the USA visited T.G. Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR was surprised to read information presented on a number of Moldovan information resources (“Publika”, “Omega” and others) that the representatives on political issues of Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova allegedly “agreed some principles of the work of Dubossary’s farmers” preliminarily at the meeting held in Tiraspol on October 6, 2014. Based on the information provided by these information portals of the Republic of Moldova, among these principles there is “a refusal to contest the right to property and to charge any payments on these farmers on what Tiraspol has still insisted”.
Within the meeting of political representatives Nina Shtanski and Yevgeny Karpov special attention was paid to the issuance of phytosanitary certificates by the RM to the Pridnestrovian enterprises required for the transit of Pridnestrovian agricultural products to Russia through the territory of Moldova and Ukraine.
Today, the OSCE Office in Tiraspol hosted a regular meeting between representatives on political issues of Pridnestrovie and Moldova Nina Shtanski and Yevgeny Karpov. Taking part in the meeting also were representatives of expert (working) groups on economy.
During the briefing Evgeny Shevchuk told journalists about the current situation that Pridnestrovie is in now. According to the Head of State, a major challenge for the republic is blockade actions on the part of Moldova and Ukraine aimed at stifling Pridnestrovie’s economy.

Today, a scientific presentation of the Pridnestrovian history “Russian world on the Dniester. The historical and strategic context of the Russian influence in Pridnestrovie” took place within the opening of the exposition “Pridnestrovie – a Russian boundary!” in the Central Armed Forces Museum of the RF. President of Pridnestrovie Evgeny Shevchuk and Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Special Representative of the President of Russia for Pridnestrovie Dmitry Rogozin delivered welcoming addresses to the guests of honour and visitors.
The Pridnestrovian delegation headed by President Evgeny Shevchuk is on a visit in the Russian Federation. An opening ceremony of the exhibition “Pridnestrovie – the Russian boundary!” took place in Moscow in the Central museum of the Armed Forces of the RF.
Today, the PMR’s MFA hosted a meeting between Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR for International Cooperation, Foreign Minister Nina Shtanski and Head of the EUBAM Francesco Bastagli and Head of the EU Delegation to Moldova Pirkka Tapiola. “We welcome your striving to maintain direct bilateral contacts with Pridnestrovie. We believe that it is important for you to get firsthand information about Pridnestrovie,” Nina Shtanski welcomed the meeting participants.
