Today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held the meeting between Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR for International Cooperation, Foreign Minister Nina Shtanski and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the UK to the Republic of Moldova Philip David Batson. The Ambassador was accompanied by Desk Officer for Moldova of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of Great Britain Stephanie E. Illingworth.
Yesterday, Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR for International Cooperation, Foreign Minister Nina Shtanski gave a comment to the Russian newspaper “Moskovsky Komsomolets” on the consequences of the economic blockade and the current situation in Pridnestrovie. Today, Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR for International Cooperation, Foreign Minister Nina Shtanski sent Foreign Minister of Abkhazia Vyacheslav Chirikba a congratulatory message on the 22nd anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on Friendship and Cooperation between the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and the Republic of Abkhazia.
Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR for International cooperation, Foreign Minister Nina Shtanski noted that the principal feature of the Moldo-Pridnestrovian conflict is that “that the inter-ethnic or inter-religious incompatibility only cannot be defined as the basic prerequisites, which led to the armed confrontation”.
The meeting between Deputy Foreign Minister of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev and Deputy Head of the Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Moldova Neil Martin took place in the Foreign Ministry of Pridnestrovie today.
Today, the MFA of the PMR opened the tenth traditional Christmas “KamArt Winter vernissage”. Taking part in the event were Deputy Foreign Minister of the PMR Igor Shornikov, Head of the State Service for Culture of the PMR Maria Kyrmyz, Vice President of the International Association of Culture and Art Workers (MARKIS) Yury Salko, Executive Secretary of the MARKIS Nikolay Dymchenko, representatives of the creative community of Pridnestrovie.

Today, on December 24, 2014 the President of Pridnestrovie and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova distantly, by fax, signed an Additional protocol to the Protocol decision “On principles of Resumption of a Full-Scale Freight Railway Communication through the Territory of Pridnestrovie ” of March 30, 2012.
Commenting on a journalist's question about the current state of the negotiation process in the “5+2” format, Nina Shtanski noted that, despite the serious degradation of relations between Pridnestrovie and Moldova in 2014, in general, since the resumption of negotiations in 2012, very tangible for social and economic interaction and people’s well-being results have been achieved.
