Russian delegation headed by Deputy Chairman of the Government of the RF, Special Representative of the President of Russia on development of trade and economic relations with Moldova Dmitry Kozak again visited Pridnestrovie. He was accompanied by Minister of Agriculture of the RF Dmitry Patrushev, State Secretary, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the RF Grigory Karasin and other officials – representatives of Russian Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Finance.
Within the work trip to the capital of the Russian Federation Vitaly Ignatiev met with Sergey Gubarev, the Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry. The meeting was also attended by Ruslan Slobodenyuk, Ambassador-at-Large in the rank of Deputy Foreign Minister of the PMR, and Arif Gadzhiev, Sergey Gubarev’ Assistant.
Today as the part of commemorative events to mark twenty-seventh anniversary of the Bendery Tragedy Vitaly Ignatiev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR, Leonid Manakov, Head of the Official Representation of Pridnestrovie in the Russian Federation, and Pridnestrovian compatriots visited Novodevichye Cemetery in Moscow and laid flowers on grave of Aleksandr Lebed, Head of the 14th Combined Arms Army of the Russian Federation in Prdinestrovie.
Pridnestrovian State University named after T.G. Shevchenko held the opening of Contact Centre on coordination with Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation.
Pridnestrovie pays close attention to the ongoing political confrontation in the Republic of Moldova and calls political forces of neighbouring country to be restraint and to ensure peace and stability.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR publishes Additional Protocol to Protocol Decision dd. March 30, 2012 signed without meeting between leaders of Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova.
By mutual consent, Protocol Decision On the Principles of Resumption of a Full-Scale Freight Railway Communication through the Territory of Pridnestrovie” was extended till December 31, 2019. The Pridnestrovian side believes that the signed Additional Protocol shall pave the way for removal of barriers and compromise settlement of the current problematic aspects in rail transportation.
The Foreign Ministry of Pridnestrovie hosted a meeting between Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and USA delegation headed by Brad Freden, Director of Office for Eastern European Affairs at the U.S. State Department.
At the initiative of the Pridnestrovian Side the OSCE Office in Tiraspol hosted a meeting of expert (working) groups on telecommunications and postal service. The representatives of mediators and observers in the negotiation process attended the meeting.
The meeting was encouraged by the lasting seizure of Russian periodicals coming to Pridnestrovian subscribers by the Republic of Moldova.
During the meeting, experts of the Sides came back to earlier proposals relating the Russian periodicals delivery and agreed to solve existing problematic aspects as soon as possible.

The Foreign Ministry of Pridnestrovie hosted a meeting of Minister Vitaly Ignatiev with the Delegation of German War Graves Commission headed by Thomas Schock, Kassel Exhumation Department (Germany). Foreign Minister of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev congratulated the Head of the Abkhazian Foreign Ministry Daur Kove on the anniversary of the Apsny Foreign Service.
The Minister particularly emphasized that the competence, responsibility and dedication of Abkhaz diplomats became a solid basis for building mutually beneficial relations with foreign partners, allowed the Republic of Abkhazia to gain international recognition, and also contribute to the achievement of significant goals in the foreign policy arena.
On May 17, the Official Mission of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic hosted a meeting of the Pridnestrovian Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev with the Plenipotentiary Representative of Abkhazia in Pridnestrovie Alexander Vataman. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Foreign Minister of Pridnestrovie Alexander Stetsyuk.
As part of the dialogue, the diplomats discussed several topical issues in the context of relations between Pridnestrovie and Apsny, as well as promising areas of bilateral cooperation during this year.
Deputy Foreign Minister of Pridnestrovie Alexander Stetsyuk met with Roman Shpak who is responsible for political issues in Europe and Central Asia at the UN Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs. The meeting was also attended by John Lewis, Peace and Development Advisor, RCO in Moldova.
Welcoming the guests, Alexander Stetsyuk flagged that strengthening and expanding cooperation with the UN is an important area of the Pridnestrovian foreign policy, and expressed hope for the development of new forms and areas of bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting the parties discussed the challenging issue of the delivery of periodicals from the Russian Federation to Pridnestrovie as well as optimization of mutual settlements on postal service.
Today, the Head of the Official Representative Office of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in the Russian Federation Leonid Manakov held a working meeting with the President of the Rus charity Fund Dragan Radenovic, first Deputy Chairman of the Russian Trade Union of physical culture, sports and tourism Andrei Novikov, as well as with the Chairman of the Presidium of the Moscow Bar Association Georgy Zubovsky.

Today, Pridnestrovian dedicated experts held a discussion at Tiraspol Office of the OSCE Mission to Moldova with Michael Morris, an expert in the registration and import of medical products. The expert arrived in Pridnestrovie and Moldova under the support of the OSCE Mission to review and make recommendations for the settlement of existing contradictions regarding the import of medicines and medical products in Pridnestrovie.
