The Pridnestrovian Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting between Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and Claus Neukirch, Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova.
The interlocutors discussed the current situation in the negotiation process with an accent on pressing aspects. Vitaly Ignatiev positively assessed the high dynamics of contacts with the OSCE Mission and expressed the hope that this interaction will lead to the resolution of practical issues within the dialogue with the Republic of Moldova and real results for the benefit of the people.
Head of the Pridnestrovian Foreign Ministry drew attention to the extremely low dynamics of contacts with the representatives of Moldova within the negotiation process. According to Vitaly Ignatiev, frequency of expert meetings remains wanting and does not allow to achieve particular results, at the same time meetings of political representatives take no place.
In his turn, Claus Neukirch also noted the concern of the OSCE Mission and the current Slovak Chairmanship regarding a noticeable decrease in the dynamics of the dialogue between the sides.
As a follow-up to the conversation, the sides conducted a detailed analysis of the most acute issues in relations between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova. The discussion focused on the issues of medicine imports and delivery of periodicals from Russia to Pridnestrovie. The interlocutors discussed the progress in the implementation of the previous agreements and the related problematic issues.
At the end of the discussion the sides confirmed their willingness for further communication in all areas of mutual interest.
