Today, a meeting of expert (working) groups on economic issues was held online with the involvement of environmental specialists.

At the initiative of the Pridnestrovian side, a range of problems faced by the PMR economic entities due to the blockade measures of the Republic of Moldova were outlined. In particular, Moldova unjustifiably, without explaining the reasons, restricted export supplies of products of several Pridnestrovian plants.

The Foreign Ministry hosted the meeting between Deputy Foreign Minister Alexandr Stetsiuk and the delegation of the Norwegian Refugee Council which included the organization’s Regional Manager, Eka Gvalia, and programme coordinator Tatiana Bogac.

The interlocutors focused on analyzing and discussing the results of cooperation in 2023. In particular, the Norwegian side described the projects implemented in the past year to support refugees, children and other vulnerable groups.

The Foreign Ministry hosted the meeting between Deputy Foreign Minister Alexandr Stetsiuk and the delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross.

Welcoming the guests, the Deputy Minister positively assessed the existing bilateral interaction, which is intensive and constructive.

The office of the President Vadim Krasnoselsky of Pridnestrovie hosted a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to Moldova, Ivan Pavol. The PMR Foreign Minister, Vitaly Ignatiev, also attended the meeting.

Pridnestrovian Foreign Ministry hosted the meeting of Minister Vitaly Ignatiev with the Head of the Official Representative Office of the Republic of South Ossetia in Pridnestrovie, Vitaly Yankovsky.

Welcoming the guest, Vitaly Ignatiev stressed that the Pridnestrovian-Ossetian cooperation, including through the Foreign Ministry and the Official Representative Office, continues in a dynamic and constructive manner.

The President Office hosted a meeting of Vadim Krasnoselsky with the European delegation, headed by Dorota Dlouchy-Suliga, Head of EEAS EURCA.5. Head of the EU delegation to Moldova, Mr. Janis Mazeiks, was also among the visitors. Deputy Prime Minister Sergey Obolonik and Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev represented the Pridnestrovian side, besides the President.

The Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting of the PMR Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev with the delegation of the European Union, headed by the representative within the 5+2 negotiation process, Dorota Dlouchy-Suliga. The Head of the EU Delegation to Moldova, Janis Mazeiks, also attended the meeting.

The agenda included issues of the trade and economic interaction in the context of several unjustified restrictions applied by the Moldovan side, as well as the current situation in the negotiation process.

This week, the Pridnestrovian side initiated a meeting of expert (working) groups on economic issues to discuss the continued blocking of exported goods produced by Pridnestrovian industrial enterprises.

The problem of importing a digital X-ray machine to Pridnestrovie needed for the TB dispensary of the Republican Clinical Hospital, as well as other topical issues, are also on the agenda.

The Moldovan side, in an official letter, declined the timeframe proposed by Pridnestrovie.

The PMR Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev answered questions from a RIA News journalist. The Foreign Minister dwelt on Chisinau’s confrontational approaches, the prospects for settling the Moldova-Pridnestrovie conflict in the context of Moldova’s European integration, and the active militarization of the neighboring state. Separately, the PMR Foreign Minister spoke about the blocking by the Moldovan side of export supplies of three Pridnestrovian leading industrial enterprises.
