The Pridnestrovian Foreign Ministry hosted the meeting between Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Claus Neukirch. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Foreign Minister of Pridnestrovie Alexander Stetsiuk and Ambassador-at-Large in the rank of Deputy Foreign Minister of Pridnestrovie Ruslan Slobodeniuk.
The visit of the Russian military senior officials to the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic started with attending the peacekeeping checkpoint. Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu checked the line of duty performed by Russian peacekeepers and debriefed the Russian Senior Military Chief of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces Oleg Leukhin and the Head of the Russian Army Task Force in Pridnestrovie Dmitry Zelenkov.
At the invitation of the Abkhaz side, international observers from Pridnestrovie monitored the presidential elections in the Republic of Abkhazia, held on August 25, 2019.
The routine removal of ionizing radiation sources from Pridnestrovie took place on August 21-22, 2019.
214 ionizing radiation sources were removed from institutions and enterprises of Tiraspol and Rybnitsa.
The removal was facilitated by the Republican Centre for Hygiene and Epidemiology, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other competent authorities of Pridnestrovie with the participation of representatives of the OSCE Mission and relevant agencies of the Republic of Moldova.
On August 2, 2019, the Agreement between the Government of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and the Government of the Republic of Artsakh On Mutual Establishment of Trade Missions, executed in Stepanakert on November 23, 2018, entered into force, following the completion of the Parties’ internal procedures.
The Pridnestrovian Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs that, in accordance with the Protocol Decision On Opening Gura-Bykuluy-Bychok Bridge over Dniester River, as well as within the current agreements in the negotiation process, the sector experts will conduct instrumental inspection of the bridge from August 20 to the end of October 2019. The purpose of the inspection is to prepare a feasibility study for further reconstruction of the facility, including launching traffic of vehicles with nominal weight over 10 tons.
Today, the OSCE Office in Kishinev hosted a meeting of expert (working) groups on railway transport and service.
Within the meeting, the parties exchanged their views on relevant aspects of international freight and passenger traffic via Pridnestrovie. The detailed discussion touched upon, in particular, the prospects of unblocking the Slobodka-Kolbasna checkpoint, including transportation of petroleum products. The parties agreed to make efforts in resolving this issue as soon as possible.

As part of the discussion, the parties provided insight into the current situation in the dialogue between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova and talked over some prospects for further progress. Significant attention was paid to the issues of telecommunications, criminal proceeding, vehicles and banking interaction.
The MFA of the PMR hosted the meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev and the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Claus Neukirch. The Ambassador-at-Large in the rank of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Ruslan Slobodenyuk also participated in the meeting.
Within the work trip to the capital of the Russian Federation Vitaly Ignatiev met with Sergey Gubarev, the Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry. The meeting was also attended by Vitaly Tryapitsyn, Deputy Director of the Second Department of CIS countries at the Russian Foreign Ministry.
