Today, the OSCE Office in Kishinev hosted a meeting of expert (working) groups on railway transport and service.
Within the meeting, the parties exchanged their views on relevant aspects of international freight and passenger traffic via Pridnestrovie. The detailed discussion touched upon, in particular, the prospects of unblocking the Slobodka-Kolbasna checkpoint, including transportation of petroleum products. The parties agreed to make efforts in resolving this issue as soon as possible.
Along with this, interlocutors analysed the possible use of the Pridnestrovian railway infrastructure to expand international passenger traffic.
Other aspects of mutual interest were touched upon, including the use of rail for the transportation of goods by large Pridnestrovian enterprises.
