The Pridnestrovian Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev met with the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Claus Neukirch. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Foreign Minister of Pridnestrovie Alexander Stetsiuk.
As part of the discussion, the parties provided insight into the current situation in the dialogue between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova and talked over some prospects for further progress. Significant attention was paid to the issues of telecommunications, criminal proceeding, vehicles and banking interaction.
The Pridnestrovian side outlined the inadmissibility of misbalancing dialogue and attempts to generate tension, confirming interest in resolving practical issues within the agreed negotiation space.
In particular, an interest in the enhancement of sectoral expert (working) groups under close international involvement was highlighted and the willingness to hold meetings of representatives on political issues and the Permanent Conference in the 5+2 format was confirmed.
