On November 9, in Garmisch (Germany), a review conference on confidence-building measures and expert interaction in Moldova-Pridnestrovie settlement has started its work.
Today, in the PMR’s Foreign Ministry a meeting took place between Deputy Head of the Republic’s foreign policy department, Alexander Malyarchuk, and the official delegation of Danish diplomats which consisted of the Head of the Danish MFA’s department for EU-Russia neighborhood policy, Ruben Madsen, and the Councilor-Envoy of the Danish Embassy in Bucharest, Jorgen Tranberg.
Today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Transdniestria hosted the meeting of the Transdniestria’s Deputy Head of the foreign policy department of the Republic, Sergey Simonenko, with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Germany to Moldova, Berthold Johannes.
On October 29, 2010, the PMR’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Vladimir Yastrebchak received the delegation headed by Ambassador of the European Union, Dirk Shuebel.
On October 20, 2010, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovien Moldavian Republic the meeting took place between Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Malyarchuk and project coordinator of the Council of Europe Owen Masters.
Today delegation of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe headed by Deputy Director of the OSCE Conflict Prevention Center Pascal Heyman visited Tiraspol.
On October 14, 2010, the Russia’s Nezavisimaya gazeta (Independent Newspaper) saw the publication of the article of Ms. Gamova titled Moscow prepares honorary surrender of Transdniestria dedicated to specific aspects of the cooperation between the Russian Federation and the European Union in the context of Moldova-Pridnestrovie settlement.
Media released the statement made by the head of the EUBAM Mission Udo Burkholder which says that reopening of the passenger train Chisinau-Odessa via Pridnestrovien Moldavian Republic is “the EU Mission’s success in rendering assistance at the border between Moldova and Ukraine.”
According to the Information and Press Department of the Russian MFA, State Secretary/ Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Grigory Karasin received on October 6 the political representative in the Transdniestrian settlement process, Transdniestrian Foreign Minister Vladimir Yastrebchak.
