The foreign ministry of Pridnestrovie has repeatedly stated at the international level that it is inadmissible to establish joint customs-border control of Moldova and Ukraine on the Pridnestrovian-Ukrainian state border. Under the conditions of the unresolved conflict between Pridnestrovie and Moldova, such unilateral destructive actions are a form of pressure on the Pridnestrovian side.
Foreign Minister of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev gave an interview to the Dutch journalist Floris Akkerman.
During the conversation, Vitaly Ignatiev spoke in detail about the goals, objectives and key directions of the foreign policy of the PMR, focusing on various aspects of Pridnestrovian relations with the Russian Federation and the European Union.
After the meeting in the Foreign Ministry, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev and the Ambassador at Large of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sergey Gubarev visited the Pervomaisk checkpoint. The diplomats discussed with the customs and border officials of the Republic the current regime of the checkpoint operation, as well as possible effects of the Moldova and Ukraine’s establishment of joint control at the Kuchurgan BCP in the territory of Ukraine.
The Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting between Foreign Minister of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev and Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Michael Scanlan.
During the meeting, the Pridnestrovian side reiterated its position on the absence of objective obstacles to the holding of the next "Permanent Conference ..." meeting of the Pridnestrovie once again stressed the need for an early meeting in the 5+2 format to discuss and approve the existing draft solutions on some problems in the social and humanitarian spheres.
The Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting of the PMR Minister of Foreign Affairs Vitaly Ignatiev with the delegation of the researchers of the Lucian Blaga University in Sibiu, as well as a group of Romanian journalists, which included representatives of the Digi 24 and TVR Moldova, Romania Libera newspaper, Radio Chisinau and others. The journalists focused on the problems of the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova.
The building of the Government and the Supreme Council of the PMR hosted a meeting of PMR’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Vitaly Ignatiev with the European Union delegation headed by Thomas Mayr-Harting, the Managing Director for Europe and Central Asia in the European External Action Service.
A meeting of the PMR Ministry of Foreign Affairs Vitaly Ignatiev with the OSCE delegation led by Wolf Dietrich Heim, Special Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, was held in the Foreign Ministry. The meeting was also attended by the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Michael Scanlan.
Today, on 17 March 2017, the Tiraspol office of the OSCE Mission hosted a regular meeting of the relevant specialists on road transport issues from Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova.
A meeting of the PMR’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Vitaly Ignatiev with the special representative of Ukraine in the negotiation process, Ambassador-at-Large Valery Zhovtenko was held in the Foreign Ministry.
