Today, on 17 March 2017, the Tiraspol office of the OSCE Mission hosted a regular meeting of the relevant specialists on road transport issues from Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova.
During the meeting, the Pridnestrovian side presented a new initiative based on the existing proposals of international partners and aimed at resolving the issue of participation of vehicles registered in the PMR in the international road traffic. It is expected that this proposal will become the basis for intensifying discussions in the field of road transport in the short term.
In addition, the parties settled the issue related to the passenger transport services on a route between Pridnestrovie and Moldova.
The Pridnestrovian party also urged the Republic of Moldova not to apply administrative measures against Pridnestrovian carriers, which possess expired certificates of professional competence at the moment, until the resolution of this problematic aspect.
The parties agreed to continue discussion of the existing agenda within the next meeting of the expert (working) groups.
