The Foreign Ministry of Pridnestrovie paid attention to the undue reaction from the office of Moldovan political representative regarding the participation of Head of the PMR Official Representation in the Russian Federation Leonid Manakov in the 51st session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.
On October 5, the Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting with Celestine Greenwood, a British lawyer who had been invited by the OSCE Mission to conduct international expertise on issues related to protecting children’s rights, including adoption, in Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Social Protection and Labor, and the Ministry of Justice, who take part in meetings of expert (working) groups on social protection, humanitarian aid, and legal and documentation support for citizens.
Leonid Manakov, Head of the PMR Official Representation in the Russian Federation, addressed the participants of the 51st session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva in an online format:
“There is a significant decline in the dynamics and quality of the dialogue between Pridnestrovie and the Moldovan authorities. Over the past year, the meetings of the negotiators have been unstable, and the irresponsible approach of the Moldovan side prevents the solution of acute problems and creates new ones.
