Today, the Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting of Deputy Foreign Minister of the PMR Alexandr Stetsiuk with a group of foreign students who visited the Republic under support of the non-profit organisation Delegations For Dialogue. The delegation that arrived at the Foreign Ministry included students from higher educational institutions of the United States, Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Austria and other countries.
On November 3, 2017, a meeting of expert (working) groups on transport and road infrastructure development was held at the office of the OSCE Mission in Bendery.
Within the framework of the meeting, in compliance with the provisions of the Protocol Decision “On opening of the bridge over the Dniester River near the villages of Gura-Bykului and Bychok” signed today by the political representatives, certain aspects related to initiated road traffic along this facility were discussed in detail.
The Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting between Deputy Foreign Minister of the PMR Alexandr Stetsiuk and Deputy Head of the UK Embassy in the Republic of Moldova Neil Martin, completing his mission in Moldova.
During the meeting, Alexandr Stetsiuk expressed gratitude to the British side for its attention to the situation around Pridnestrovie and stated that the dialogue with the representatives of Great Britain is regular and substantial.
Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to RM Julia Monar, who paid her first visit to Pridnestrovie.
The interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues of Pridnestrovie-Germany bilateral cooperation, as well as of the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova.
Foreign Minister of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev met with Italian entrepreneurs, representatives of the management of the Association Italy-BRICS Matteo Peggio and Igor Camilli. The meeting was also attended by the Chairman of the Presidium of the Bendery City Council of People’s Deputies Yuri Kara.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the current situation in the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova. They expressed a unified position on the need for systematic and rhythmic work in all the negotiation areas. They talked about the expediency of holding the next meeting in the 5+2 format without preliminary conditions. It was stressed that today, in fact, it is about resuscitating the dialogue in the “Permanent Conference...” format, since from June 2016 its participants have never gathered at the negotiating table.
