Representatives on political issues from the Republic of Moldova and Pridnestrovie Vitaly Ignatiev and Victor Osipov held a meeting at the office of the OSCE Mission in Kishinev.
A meeting between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Igor Shornikov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the PMR Inna Linnik and the Pridnestrovian youth, as well as Russian guests was held today as part of the International Youth Forum “25 years together with Russia” dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the formation of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
Acting Foreign Minister of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev met with the EUBAM delegation at the PMR’s MFA today. The delegation included Head of EUBAM Ambassador Andrew Tesoriere, as well as representatives of a number of structural units of EUBAM. From the Pridnestrovian side the meeting was also attended by Minister of Economic Development of the PMR Alevtina Slinchenko and Chairperson of the State Customs Committee of the PMR Yury Gervazyuk.
Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev had a meeting with UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Representative in Moldova Dafina Gercheva and Representative of the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva Dragan Lalosevic.
During the meeting the sides discussed the implementation of joint projects in the field of restoration of social infrastructure, strengthening of health system, protection of the rights of people with disabilities and countering the spread of HIV/AIDS.
Vitaly Viktorovich, will the approaches of the Pridnestrovian side in the negotiation process on the settlement of Moldova-Pridnestrovie relations change in connection with the appointment of new political representative?
Vitaly Viktorovich, you have been appointed to a new position most recently, but you have been engaging in the negotiations for a long time. How would you describe the current relations between Tiraspol and Kishinev?Inwhatstatearetheytoday?
The Foreign Ministry held the first media briefing of acting Foreign Minister of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev as a Political Representative of Pridnestrovie in the negotiation process.
The journalists were interested in the current situation in the relations with the Republic of Moldova, as well as the characteristics of the current stage of the negotiations in the “1+1” format. During the interview Vitaly Ignatiev also told about the priority areas of work of the Foreign Ministry, including in the negotiation process.
Since August 24, 2015 the Republic of Moldova banned the movement of the Pridnestrovian transport across the border between Ukraine and Moldova by the Order of the Head of the Border Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Advisor to the Chairperson of the Government of the PMR, Head of the expert group on the development of transport and road facilities Vladimir Trandasir spoke on the current situation in that sphere to the correspondent of the IA “Novosti Pridnestrovya”.
If you don’t hold your military actions, tomorrow I will have breakfast in Tiraspol, lunch in Chisinau and dinner in Bucharest – with those words general Lebied stopped Moldovan army in 1992 and de facto created a new country on the European map: Pridniestrovian Moldavian Republic, which officialy keeps close relationship with Russia and remains in their influence until today. Lebied threat was so powerful that resulted in ceasefire right on the next day. Situation has not changed over the last 20 years.
