The Foreign Ministry held the first media briefing of acting Foreign Minister of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev as a Political Representative of Pridnestrovie in the negotiation process.
The journalists were interested in the current situation in the relations with the Republic of Moldova, as well as the characteristics of the current stage of the negotiations in the “1+1” format. During the interview Vitaly Ignatiev also told about the priority areas of work of the Foreign Ministry, including in the negotiation process.
Speaking to the media the diplomat stressed – there can be no changes in the approach of the Pridnestrovian side in connection with the appointment of a new political representative. "I would like to assure that the goals and objectives in the field of foreign policy and its priorities, one of which is the settlement of Moldova-Pridnestrovie relations, do not change and cannot change - they are based on the will of the people. Therefore, the political representative will perform the same functions and tasks that were set previously,” - said Vitaly Ignatiev.
