The activity of the Public Expert Council was resumed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR under participation of representatives of government, academic and business community, representatives of civil society.
During the regular negotiation round within the “Permanent Conference” finished in Lvov sides focused on discussion of socio-economic and humanitarian issues by common consent of participants.
The regular, the first in this year, negotiation round of the Permanent Conference starts today, on February 18, 2013 in Lvov (Ukraine) under the OSCE Chairmanship of Ukraine.

The Head of the State Yevgeny Shevchuk received the UN Senior Expert on Human Rights in Pridnestrovie. Exchange of opinions on several aspects of the report drawn up by Thomas Hammarberg took place at the Office of the President. It will be recalled that the UN Senior Expert on Human Rights in Pridnestrovie studied situation in the Republic during the whole 2012. He visited a number of detention facilities, institutions of health care and social protection, and exchanged views with the representatives of the executive and judicial branches.
The meeting between Nina Shtanski, Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR on Issues of International Cooperation, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Thomas Hammarberg, the UN Senior Expert on Human Rights in Pridnestrovie, was held today at the Foreign Agency of Pridnestrovie.
During the visit to Pridnestrovie on January 22 a. c. the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine L. Kozhara sounded an initiative for meeting between political leaders of Pridnestrovie and Moldova E. Shevchuk and V. Filat on the margins of the “Permanent Conference” in Lvov scheduled for February 18-19 a. c.
