The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, Vitaly Ignatiev, gave an interview to the RIA Novosti News Agency, answering the questions about the prospects of the negotiation process, security risks and threats on the Dniester, the possible model of conflict settlement, and more.
A foresight session was held in Moscow, organized by the National Research Institute for Communications Development (NRCD). Experts discussed issues of the cultural, legal, and political identity of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, as well as the prospects for the republic’s development in the context of the Russian civilizational project.

We draw attention to the numerous and egregious violations of the rights and freedoms of the residents of Pridnestrovie holding secondary Moldovan citizenship widely documented throughout the parliamentary election day in the Republic of Moldova.
Even before the start of the voting, the authorities of neighboring Moldova took measures to deliberately restrict the participation of Pridnestrovian residents by drastically reducing the number of polling stations and relocating some of them to settlements geographically remote from Pridnestrovie.
During the meeting, a wide range of pressing issues related to cooperation with the OSCE Mission team in Moldova were discussed, including freedom of movement, human rights, as well as the planning of joint projects and events.
The MFA representatives drew special attention to the problems faced by Pridnestrovian citizens at Chisinau airport. In particular, cases of pressure, aggressive behavior, and threats to personal security on the part of Moldovan law enforcement agencies were highlighted.
Today, Shevchenko Pridnestrovian State University hosted an International Academic and Practical Conference on the topic “Pridnestrovian Statehood: History and Modernity,” dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the founding of the republic. The event was organized by the PMR Foreign Ministry and SPSU.

Today, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a meeting was held between PMR Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and Deputy Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Izabela Hartmann.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current state of the negotiation process. Vitaly Ignatiev noted the ongoing stagnation in the dialogue, characterized by the Republic of Moldova’s refusal to engage in systematic and substantive interaction with Pridnestrovie, as well as by Chisinau’s unilateral and destructive actions.
On August 25, another off-site consultative meeting of education experts from Pridnestrovie and Moldova was held in Rybnitsa.
The consultations focused on discussing the parameters of a technical assessment of the unfinished building located at 14 Gagarina Street in Rybnitsa, which is to be conducted to determine the feasibility of using the facility for educational purposes.
