Today, on the Day of the Diplomats of the PMR, Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR for International Cooperation, Foreign Minister Nina Shtanski has become a guest of the morning show on the state radio station “Radio 1”. We remind that in 2015 Pridnestrovie’s diplomats mark their professional holiday on the same day as their Russian colleagues for the first time.
President Evgeny Shevchuk met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Moldova Rimantas Latakas. Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR for International Cooperation, Foreign Minister Nina Shtanski also participated in the meeting.
Today the PMR’s MFA hosted a meeting between Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR for International Cooperation, Minister of Foreign Affairs Nina Shtanski with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Moldova Rimantas Latakas.
The parties discussed the current state of cooperation between Pridnestrovie and Lithuania, as well as exchanged views on the process of normalization of Pridnestrovian-Moldovan relations.
Today, the official ceremony of signing of the previously agreed Memorandum on Cooperation in the field of sport between the State Service for Sport of Pridnestrovie and the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation took place in the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation. The document was signed by Head of the State Service for Sport Ivan Fyodorovich Timotin and Deputy Minister of Sport of Russia Pavel Anatolievich Kolobkov.
Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR for International Cooperation, Foreign Minister Nina Shtanski gave comments to the information agency “News Maker” on the upcoming consultations with the 5+2 participants, in particular with Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Radojko Bogojevic. We remind that the OSCE delegation will visit Pridnestrovie today, on February 9.

Taking part in the meeting was also Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR for International Cooperation, Foreign Minister of the PMR Nina Shtanski.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR is deeply concerned about the detention of a group of young Russian scientists, flying to the city of Moscow after scientific expedition to the Republic of Moldova, Gagauzia and Pridnestrovie on February 1, 2015 at the airport of Kishinev.
The visit was aimed at gathering by the researchers from universities of the Russian Federation the necessary scientific information and materials that provide an objective perspective on the history and current developments in the wider regional space.
Today, the small hall of the Dvorets Respubliki (State Cultural Center) hosted the expanded session of the Pridnestrovian Foreign Ministry Collegium, coincided with the Diplomat’s Day. We remind that in accordance with the Decree of the President of the PMR No. 403 “On Amendments to the Decree of the President of the PMR of June 13, 2001 No. 300 “On the establishment of professional holidays and memorable days in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic the “Day of diplomats of the PMR previously celebrated on May 6 was appointed on February 10.
