Today the PMR’s MFA hosted a meeting between Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR for International Cooperation, Minister of Foreign Affairs Nina Shtanski with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Moldova Rimantas Latakas.
The parties discussed the current state of cooperation between Pridnestrovie and Lithuania, as well as exchanged views on the process of normalization of Pridnestrovian-Moldovan relations.
“We have established good open relations with Lithuania. We conducted several cultural projects, among which especially popular was the exhibition of Lithuanian Photo Artists in Tiraspol, and we are ready to continue cooperation in this sphere. We are also interested in the development of our trade and economic relations. The turnover of Pridnestrovian and Lithuanian economic agents over the past year amounted to slightly less than $ 30 million,” – said Nina Shtanski during the meeting.
During the conversation Rimantas Latakas, who visited Pridnestrovie for the first time today, also was interested in the current state of negotiations between Pridnestrovie and Moldova and features of the current socio-economic situation in Pridnestrovie.
