Today the PMR’s MFA hosted a meeting between Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR for International Cooperation, Foreign Minister Nina Shtanski and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the FRG to the RM Ulrike Knotz.
Over the past few months the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR has repeatedly informed the public about many obstacles in the field of freedom of movement for the inhabitants of Pridnestrovie, including officials, while crossing the state border of the Republic of Moldova in the airport of Kishinev.
The seminar “Prospects of the comprehensive development of Russia’s foreign policy in the post-Soviet space” is held in Moscow today. The event was organized by the Analytical Centre of MGIMO (University) of the MFA of Russia with support of the Centre for post-Soviet studies and the Centre for Caucasus Studies of MGIMO. At the invitation of the Russian side the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic is represented at the event by the Deputy Foreign Minister of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev.
The interview of the Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR for International Cooperation, Foreign Minister Nina Shtanski to the crew of the largest South Korean broadcasting company (Korean Broadcasting System) took place in the MFA of the PMR today.
Asked about the prospects for the legal recognition of Pridnestrovie, Nina Shtanski reminded that peoples’ right to self-determination was enshrined in a number of fundamental international documents.
A special guest at the IV International Business Forum "Moscow Business Dialogue of the SCO" was Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev. A meeting with the leadership of the Business Club of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was held in the framework of the forum.

I take this opportunity to congratulate the Pridnestrovian people, the citizens of Pridnestrovie on the fact that it was on this day in 1995 when a referendum was held as a result of which the version of the current Constitution of the PMR was approved. This is of particular importance for Pridnestrovie, because the basic postulates of government system were approved by the people in that referendum.
