A meeting of the PMR Minister of Foreign Affairs Vitaly Ignatiev with the EUBAM delegation headed by Andrew Tesoriere, Head of the Mission, was held in the Foreign Ministry. The Pridnestrovian side was also represented by the Minister of Economic Development of the PMR Sergey Obolonik, as well as the Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the PMR Vitaly Niagu.
The foreign ministry of Pridnestrovie has repeatedly stated at the international level that it is inadmissible to establish joint customs-border control of Moldova and Ukraine on the Pridnestrovian-Ukrainian state border. Under the conditions of the unresolved conflict between Pridnestrovie and Moldova, such unilateral destructive actions are a form of pressure on the Pridnestrovian side.
After the meeting in the Foreign Ministry, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev and the Ambassador at Large of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sergey Gubarev visited the Pervomaisk checkpoint. The diplomats discussed with the customs and border officials of the Republic the current regime of the checkpoint operation, as well as possible effects of the Moldova and Ukraine’s establishment of joint control at the Kuchurgan BCP in the territory of Ukraine.
