Today, the OSCE Mission Office in Kishinev hosted a regular meeting of expert (working) groups on the development of transport and road facilities.
During the meeting, the participants discussed issues related to obtaining of professional competence certificates for the Pridnestrovian drivers engaged in international passenger transportation. In addition, the discussed focused on specific aspects of the city shuttles functioning between Pridnestrovie and Moldova.
The parties continued to discuss such fundamental issue as participation of the vehicles registered in Pridnestrovie in the international traffic. Both sides confirmed their intention to move towards finding a sustainable compromise in this area that would make allow to resolve other issues in the transport field, including opening of the bridge across the river Dniester near villages of Bychok and Gura Bicului.
Discussion of these and other topical issues will be continued at the next meeting of the field groups in Tiraspol.
