On October 1, the Tiraspol Office of the OSCE Mission hosted a regular meeting of the Expert (Working) Groups on Education Issues from Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova.
During the meeting experts discussed pressing issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of education, in particular, the problematic aspects of the current Moldovan discriminatory procedure for nostrification of education documents issued in Pridnestrovie.
Following the results of the discussions, the interlocutors agreed on the need to simplify the existing confirmation procedure of equivalence of Pridnestrovian documents, as well on the need of bilateral comprehensive elaboration of the Action Plan on parameters of future mechanism for legalization and authentication of documents issued by educational institutions of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
The parties also discussed in detail current issues related to the further operation of six Moldovan Latin script schools on the territory of Pridnestrovie, as well as the need to find the optimized form of legal security for operation of these institutions within the legal framework of the PMR. In this context, the parties agreed on the need to visit these educational institutions together in the near future.
