The Foreign Ministry of the PMR hosted a meeting between Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR for International Cooperation, Minister of Foreign Affairs Nina Shtanski and the WHO Representative in the Republic of Moldova Jarno Habicht.
During the meeting Nina Shtanski noted constructive relationships developed with the World Health Organization in the framework of projects that have already been implemented on the territory of Pridnestrovie and projects that are being implemented now. “Today a significant element of our joint work is a project that affects very important areas – perinatal care and immunization of the population,” – said the diplomat. The Minister also stressed the importance of involvement of such important partners as UNICEF and UNDP in the ongoing work of the World Health Organization.
In his turn Jarno Habicht thanked Nina Shtanski for possible assistance of the Foreign Ministry in the implementation of health projects on the territory of the republic. The WHO Representative noted that the organization intends to develop the long fruitful cooperation which has developed with Pridnestrovie.
During the meeting the parties continued to discuss topical issues within the health projects.
